Icon's Canadian Connection

Icon, Europe's leading event branding specialist, has formed a joint venture with the branding and signage company, Banner Images from Ontario in Canada.

The new company is known as Icon Branding International (IBI), bringing together Icon's branding management skills and expertise with Banner Images' extensive range of large-format display products.

The partnership will also serve to further strengthen Icon's already impressive Olympic credentials. In 2005 Icon completed all the branding and signage work on behalf of London's successful bid to stage the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and has more recently delivered a major programme helping Sochi to bid successfully for the right to stage the 2014 Winter and Paralympic Games.

Banner Images has outstanding Olympic credentials having provided look and image branding for Beijing 2008, Athens 2004, Sydney 2000, Atlanta 1996 and Barcelona in 1992. The company also worked on the last three Winter Olympic Games and has very strong connections within the Chinese market.

Icon will now be able to offer an extended range of production services to all its client groups, spanning events, exhibitions, commercial property and corporate branding projects on a worldwide scale.
