The Irish Open was held at the new venue of Adare Manor Hotel & Golf Resort on the West coast of Ireland in May 2007. Icon were once again contracted by the PGA European Tour to produce and manage the installation of all event signage and branding.

The new location provided the PGA European Tour with an opportunity to create a new look and feel to the event - the brief was to give the event a more `festival' feel to reflect the excitement of the new venue and location. The `Event Look' was carefully designed to produce a colourful and exciting feel for all players, sponsors and spectators who visited the Adare Manor Hotel & Golf Resort.

Icon was responsible for every element of signage and branding seen at the event, including all the on-course advertising, fulfilling the PGA European Tour and Local Organising Committee's objectives regarding delivering exposure for sponsors. Icon also managed the tee-off areas, the on-course moveable signage, the media and hospitality areas and the public areas, delivering more functional road and directional signage, to ensure spectators were directed around the venue with clear and accurate instructions. The signage and branding programme contributed towards creating a hugely positive spectator experience.

In order to further develop the event signage and branding programme for the PGA European Tour, Icon introduced new elements to this event, such as large information towers (as additional directional signage), crowd barrier branding and other high impact items to communicate and build the event brand.

The logistics of staging an event on the West coast of Ireland meant that deliveries and lead-times needed to be carefully organised and managed to ensure that the costs were kept down and the event could run smoothly.
