Icon's new Qatar office in the Middle East is recognition of the area's growing reputation as a centre for major sporting events. 

Some busy months for Icon's latest branch culminated in the branding of the first International Triathlon Union event in Doha, Qatar.

The Doha 2006 ITU Triathlon World Cup in March was the first event of its kind to be hosted in the region and was to be a ‘test run' for the Asian Games (that will be held in Qatar at the start of December 2006).

Icon had a tight schedule with which to deliver a completely branded programme.  With only 10 days to complete the project, the Qatar office had to design and produce the event's branding, dressing and signage - concentrating on such areas as the start/ finish points and transition areas.

More impressive perhaps is the time in which it took to complete installation.  In just 48 hours, the entire signage of the course was accomplished - including 3 kilometres of fence fabric and over half a kilometre of corrals.
