Icon Display at the 2007 Southampton Boat Show

Icon's involvement with the show stretches back more than 20 years and the 2007 event was once again larger than ever before, involving the production and installation of over 1,000 signs.

All functional and directional signage was produced and installed by Icon in order to deliver a consistent look and feel throughout the event. Icon also advised both the event organisers and sponsors of new signage systems and methods in order to ensure best value for money whilst delivering maximum impact.

The main features provided by Icon included a giant banner at the main entrance and a huge welcome arch, the first items the 127,000 visitors saw on arrival at the show. In addition Icon decorated the giant screens and supplied all the external, internal and special features around the site, as well as branding for several of the sponsors.

The install took place over a period of nine days and a team were on site during the event to fulfil any extra requirements whilst the show was in progress.

Murray Ellis, Director of Operations for National Boat Shows said; "The nature of the Southampton Boat Show, with it's huge area and the vast number of people who visit, make the signage and branding an essential element to a great event. Icon not only gave us the confidence that this element of the show was carried out professionally, but also gave us valuable contributions in the design and location of key signs."
