The UEFA Women's Euro 2005 Tournament provided yet another first for Icon Display. The Kent based sports design and production specialists were responsible for designing and producing all the internal and external branding for the event, which took place in June.

Icon dressed the 5 different venues used during the tournament at Manchester, Preston, Blackburn, Warrington and Blackpool creating the look and feel to match any of the men's major football tournaments. The event was a watershed for the women's game. England's match against Finland at the City of Manchester Stadium attracted a record crowd for a women's competitive match of just under 30,000.
Matches were shown on TV all over Europe with Norway, Sweden, Germany and the UK attracting the highest audiences. The England v Sweden game was watched on the BBC in the UK by over 2.75 million people.
Icon were responsible for producing and installing all the pitch side advertising boards, internal stadium dressing, external directional and promotional signage as well as interview backdrops and hospitality material.
