The 2005 Snooker Grand Prix, Preston, has some interesting additions to the event branding, thanks to Icon Display's commitment to introducing new and innovative concepts.
The first ranking event in the snooker calendar has extensive coverage on the BBC throughout the tournament, and therefore has required some extremely prominent branding. Icon have provided extensive input into the signage, both in terms of the TV set and the venue and external decorations, as well as adding some new and exciting ideas.
Icon's external branding was featured during the opening sequences on the BBC's coverage, highlighting the effort put into delivering these new and exciting ideas.
Icon Display have been supplying the signage and branding at Preston since 2001, with the aim of enhancing the image of the sport and developing a wider appeal in order to help to resurrect snooker's former glory, something which has been particularly successful across World Snooker events over the last five years.
